    Thrifting, upgraded

Thrift shopping in Dubai without leaving the sofa.

All the joy of a good rummage, none of the driving between thrift stores. Filter by size and brand, buy with protection, and let Re· deliver.

    Straight answer

    What is thrift shopping?

Thrift shopping means buying second-hand clothing and accessories instead of new, for value, for pieces you cannot find in retail, and to keep garments in use for longer. In Dubai, thrifting has largely moved online: on Re· you thrift from closets across the UAE, pay through escrow by our payment partner, and get the item delivered in 2–4 days.

Reuse sits above recycling in the circular-economy hierarchy: extending a garment's active life is the highest-value circular strategy short of not buying at all.

    The short version

    What makes online thrifting work

    1

    Filters do the rummaging

Search by category, brand, size, condition grade and price, so the feed only shows things you would actually wear.

    2

    Honest grades

Brand New, Unworn, As Good As New, Good Condition, Fair, Damaged: six labels, applied per listing with photographed flaws.

    3

    Protected, not pot luck

An 8% buyer protection fee covers the 24-hour check window and the dispute process behind it.

    In detail

How thrifting in Dubai actually works now

Physical thrift stores in Dubai are scattered, stock is unpredictable, and a good find often means an hour in traffic. Online resale flips that: the stock comes to you, it is searchable, and the interesting pieces are the ones people actually bought and wore here, regional brands, occasion wear worn once, sneakers barely broken in.

The trade-off has always been trust. You cannot feel the fabric through a screen, and second-hand listings elsewhere are often a single blurry photo and an optimistic description. Re· pushes against that with structured listings: six condition grades, required photographs, brand and size fields, and a return route if what arrives is not what was shown.

The cost side is transparent. Buyers pay the item price plus an 8% buyer protection fee, a 1.95 AED platform fee, and delivery from 17.5 AED (39.5 AED for remote areas). Sellers pay nothing to list and 8% + 1.95 AED only when a piece sells.
